AIIMS MBBS Counselling Procedure

The AIIMS MBBS counselling begins after the announcement of results. The counselling process is done 7 stages. The main purpose of counselling is to allot seats to the candidates in AIIMS institutes across India. The stages of AIIMS MBBS Counselling are as follows

  • Registration
  • Filling and locking of choices
  • Announcement of mock results
  • Editing and final submission of choices
  • Seat allotment result
  • Accept or refusal of allotted seats
  • Reporting to the allotted institute

Stage 1 – Registration

The first step in AIIMS MBBS counselling is registration. In order to participate in AIIMS MBBS counselling one should register for counselling process. The candidates who have qualified in AIIMS exam are eligible for counselling. The candidates should register for counselling through online by visiting official website. To begin registration the candidates are required to enter their registration id and password. After page is opened click on counselling tab and apply for counselling. The candidates should create new password in order to lock their options.

Stage 2 – Filling and Locking of Choices

This is the 2nd step in AIIMS MBBS Counselling. The candidates should open their account through online and click on Make Choice button. After that list of AIIMS institutes will be displayed and the candidate should enter their choices by selecting the AIIMS institutes. Once they have entered options lock the options and click on submit button. Now log out your account.

Stage 3 – Mock Allotment

This is the 3rd stage in AIIMS MBBS counselling. The candidates after entering the mock options the mock allotment will be announced. The mock allotment will be announced in 2nd week of July. This mock allotment is done to provide an idea to the candidates how the seat allotment will be done based on their choices.

Stage 4 – Editing and Final Submission of Choices

The next stage in AIIMS MBBS counselling is editing and final submission of choices. In this stage the candidates are given opportunity to edit and delete the choices they opted. To edit and submit new choices click on submit and lock options tab. Then the candidate can enter new options and can lock them. Once final submission is done the candidates cannot change the options.

Stage 5 – Seat Allotment Result

After candidates entering and locking their options seat allotment will be done. The seat allotment is done by AIIMS, New Delhi. The seat is allotted for the candidate based on the merit list. The seat allotment will be released on official website in PDF file. The candidates can check the seat allotment by downloading PDF file.

Stage 6 – Accept or Refusal of Allotted Seats

After seat allotment result is announced the candidate should accept or refuse it. The candidates should submit their conformation with in the given time. There are 5 options available for candidates regarding accept or refusal of allotted seats.

  • Refuse the seat
  • Accept the seat
  • Accept the seat and wish to participate for subsequent rounds
  • Refuse the seat and wish to appear for other rounds
  • Failure to select any option

Stage 7 – Reporting to Allotted Institute

This is the final stage in AIIMS MBBS Counselling process. After the candidate accept the seat they should report to the allotted institute for seat confirmation. After visiting institute document verification and admission process will be done. The seat will be allotted after candidate pay fees and submit all required documents.

  • AIIMS MBBS Admit Card 2019
  • Call letter issued by AIIMS, New Delhi
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • Class XII Mark sheet
  • Migration Certificate
  • Category certificate from the prescribed authority (For SC/ST/OBC category candidates)
  • Six passport size photographs
  • One set of self-attested copies of all certificates
