Residence:

The residence for the IAS officer will be provided by the government. They are provided with a duplex bungalow which is located in the state capital they are deployed in. they can stay at that bungalow irrespective of their posting. They can use that bungalow till their post ends.

Service Quarters:

IAS officers are also provided with service quarters. Apart from their residence in the state they are also provided quarters at their posting city or village.

Transportation:

IAS officers are provided with transportation facility. Government vehicles are provided for free for IAS officers. IAS officers are provided with minimum of 1 or 3 office vehicles. All the vehicles of IAS officer are provided with blue beacon light. The IAS officers can use the services of these vehicles when they are on duty to out stations. The fuel bill and other maintenance costs of the vehicles are bared by government.

Security:

The government provides security for IAS officers and their families. The general officers who were posted in state headquarters are allotted 3 home guards and 2 body guards. The IAS officers who have posted as District magistrate/commissioner are provided with entire police force. If there is any threat to any IAS officer then they are provided with STF commandos.

Bills:

The IAS officers need not to pay house hold bills. These bills amounts are cleared by government only. The electricity consumed by them in their residence or service quarters are paid by government. The IAS officers are also provided with BSNL Sims with facilities like free calls, SMS and free data services. In their residence and service quarters they are provided with BSNL landline connection and a broadband connection.

Trips:

When IAS officers are for trips in case of official and unofficially they can enjoy subsidiary accommodation at circuit houses, government rest houses and bungalows. If IAS officer visits New Delhi then they would be provided accommodation in respective state bhavans with all facilities.

Household Staff:

In both residence and service quarters IAS officers are provided with household staff appointed by government. The staff are appointed to take care of all household duties in bungalow and quarters.

Study Leave:

The IAS officers is also provided with study leave. In case if any IAS officer want to pursue higher education then they will be provided with study leave. They are provided with 2- 4 year study leave. They can pursue in any foreign university where the fee is completely bared by government.

Other Benefits:

IAS officers are also provided with other benefits in the form of gratuity, lifetime pension, healthcare services and many other retirement benefits.
