Gujarat metro rail runs its services in Ahmedabad city. Ahmedabad metro is a rapid transit system serving Ahmedabad city, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, India. The owner of Gujarat metro rail is Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The Gujarat Metro rail was specially constructed metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad or MEGA, a vehicle company constitutes in 2018. The vehicle company initiated to implement all metro projects in Gujarat.
The MEGA was established in Feb, 2010. The phase I of the project was approved in Oct, 2014. The construction of Ahmedabad Metro was started on Mar 14, 2018. The Phase I is expected to be completed by 2020. There is 1 line in operational and 2 lines of Phase I & II are under construction. There are 6 operational stations, 32 Phase I stations and 20 Phase II stations.
