IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. IBPS is a recruitment body that was started with an aim to encourage the recruitment and placement of young graduates in public sector banks in India (except SBI).

IBPS is governed by a board that includes nominees from government organizations such as the Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance Government of India, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, National Institute of Bank Management, Indian Banks’ Association and the public sector banks.

IBPS conducts RRB exam year for the posts of PO and SO. There are various to be filled through IBPS RRB such as Grade A- Officer Scale –I, Scale –II, Scale-III Officers and Office Assistant (Grade B).

IBPS RRB Notification 2019 – Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment follows the below mentioned eligibilities .Please have a look over it.

Nationality

• Candidate must be a citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee.
• A person of Indian origin who is from Pakistan , Burma, Srilanka,East African countries of Kenya,Uganda,United Republic of Tanzania etc.

Age Limit

• The age limit of the candidates who are applying for Office Assistant should be between 18-28 years of age
• The age limit of the candidates who are applying for Officer Scale –I  should be between 18-30 years of age
• The age limit of the candidates who are applying for Officer Scale –II should be between 21-32 years of age
• The age limit of the candidates who are applying for Officer Scale –III should be between 21-40 years of age

Educational Qualification

• Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized university for IBPS RRB Office Assistant.
• Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized university in any discipline .But equivalent preference will be given to candidates who posses degree in Agriculture,Horticulture,forestry,Animal Husbandry,Veterinary Science ,agricultural Engineering,Pisciculture ,Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation ,Information Technology,Management,Law,economics and Accountancy.
• Candidates should have degree in Banking,Finance,Marketing ,Agriculture ,horticulture,forestry ,animal husbandry,Veterinary Science,Agricultural Engineering,Pisciculture,Agricultural Marketing and Coopeartion ,IT,Management ,law,economics and Accountancy for the post of Officer Scale –II (General Banking Officer) and Officer Scale –III.

Language Proficiency

• Candidates applying for these posts must have the language proficiency in the local language of the State /UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for the interview.
