About RCF
Rail Coach Factory (RCF) is a coach manufacturing unit of Indian Railways established in 1986. RCF has carved a niche in the industrial scenario of the country and Indian Railways in particular. It has manufactured around 28, 000 passenger coaches of different types including self-propelled passenger vehicles which constitute over 50% of the total population of coaches on Indian Railways. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art CAD center and CNC machines to undertake design & manufacture of Bogies, Shell with both stainless steel & corten steel, FRP interiors as per customer’s requirement. The manufacturing facilities and processes have enabled RCF to achieve excellence in Design, Development, Manufacture, Installation of Railway coaches with a view to ensure enhanced satisfaction of the Rail customer.

Rail Coach Factory Recruitment Eligibility
Age Limit
The candidates who are willing to apply for the Central Govt Jobs should complete the age of 15 years and should not complete the age of 24 years as on 21-09-2017. Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, OBC is 3 years and for persons of disability, it is 10 years.
Educational Qualification
The Candidates must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.
Application Fee
Application fee is exempted for Women/SC/ST/PWD/PH and for others, the fee might be Rs.100/-.
Selection Process
Selection process for RCF Apprentice post includes Written Test, Medical Test, Personal Interview and Document Verification.
Pay Scale
The pay scale for the Apprentice who works under Rail Coach Factory is fixed as per Government norms. The starting salary for RCF Apprentice is expected to be Rs.5, 700/-.
Training Period & Stipend
Training Period is fixed as per extant rules & directives issued by Railway Board from time to time. No hostel accommodation will be provided and selected candidates should make their own arrangement during their training period as per Apprentices Act 1961. The candidates will be released on after the completion of the training. Before commencement of the Apprenticeship training in the designated trade, the selected candidate either he/she is a minor, then his/her guardian has to enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship.
