The RRB NTPC selection process includes the various levels of exams such as Prelims, Mains and Skill Test/Aptitude Test /Document verification. Railway RRB NTPC 2019 Stages of Selection Procedure
The RRB NTPC Selection Procedure is mainly based on the Merit list. The CBT (Computer Based Test) Online examination will be conducted for various posts. In this page you can find the post wise Selection process for Railway Recruitment 2019.
For CA, TA, Goods Guard Posts
The final merit list will be decided on the basis of Marks which will obtained in Mains Online Examination (2nd Stage CBT) only.
 For Sr Clerk-Typist, Jr. Account Asst Posts
There will be Typing Skill test for the candidates. The marks which will obtained in Typing Skill test shall not be added for making merit list.
For ASM & Traffic Assistant Posts
The final merit will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in Psychological test apart from Mains exam marks.

Online Examination (Prelims & Mains)
All the candidates those who will apply for the Railway RRB Non- Technical posts should attend for an Online examination which known as Computer Based Test (CBT). A separate call letter will be sent to the all the applicants which indicating the date of the examination, time and online exam center.
Prelims Exam/First Stage CBT
- The Prelims Exam is conducted in Computer Based Mode.
- The Result of Prelims was declared zone wise.
- The first stage CBT exam includes subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and General Science.
- The Prelims exam of RRB NTPC is conducted for 100 marks.

Mains Examination/Second Stage CBT
- Those candidates who had qualified in Prelims Exam are eligible for the Mains Examination or second stage CBT.
- All the aspirants equal to 15 times the number of vacancies were shortlisted for the Mains Exam of RRB NTPC.
- The Mains Exam of RRB NTPC included the topics such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
- The duration of the test is 90 minutes.
- Total 120 multiple choice objective questions will be asked in the Mains examination.

Typing Test (Skill Test)
The candidates who qualify Railway Senior Clerk, Junior Accounts Assistant & Time keeper online exam will be called for RRB NTPC Skill test. The Typing Skill test will be qualifying in nature only. And it shall be conducted for which the number of candidates equal to eight times the number of vacancies shall called for.
Psycho/Aptitude Test
For ASM and Traffic Assistant posts, the RRB NTPC Psycho/Aptitude test based on the verification of documents. A candidate with ASM will be called for Aptitude test first. If that candidate fails in Aptitude/Psycho test and got enough marks for other posts i.e. CA/TA/GG etc. Then those candidates will be moved to their second preference. That candidate will not be rejected.
As well as if someone fails in typing test skill have enough marks for other posts, that candidate will be given next post as per the preference given by him.
Document Verification
Candidates those who qualify RRB NTPC Online exam and Typing Skill test based on the merit and shortlisted candidates will be called for documents and candidature verification.
Medical Examination
All the aspirants who are eligible after document and candidature verification are called for medical examination. Those candidates will have to pass requisite medical fitness tests which will be conducted by the Railway Administration. The Railway authority will ensure that the candidates are medically fit for the post or not.
Final Selection
Final Selection will be strictly based on the merit marks obtained in Computer Based Test (CBT) which is online examination. based on the candidate’s perform in online examination, document verification and medical test for NTPC posts like TA, CA, ASM, Goods Guard and Clerk Typist etc the Railway Board RCB releases Merit list. Only qualified candidate’s names will be mentioned in final list and they will be called for training soon.
