Commercial Clerk Job Description
In Indian Railways commercial clerk can be posted as ticket booking offices as booking clerk or in goods shed as goods clerk. The duty of the booking clerk is to issue tickets to passengers in the form of traditional paper tickets or through computerized unreserved ticket system, book luggage and parcels, supervise their loading and maintains concerned registers. In some small stations booking clerk is also given additional charge as computerized passenger reservation. The booking clerk will be given independent charge of a small stations known as clerk in charge stations or work under a station master. The commercial clerk as goods clerk works in major goods dealing stations/yards. The duties of goods clerk involves booking freight traffic, coordinate with station master/yard master regarding allotment of wagon, loading /unloading etc.
Commercial Clerk Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should complete a matriculation or its equivalent with aggregate of 50% of marks.

- Pay Scale – Rs.5200/- to Rs.20,200/-
- Grade Pay – Rs.2000/-
