The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released cen 03/2018 employment notification for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) for the year 2019. Eligible candidates will be recruited through a national level online examination (i.e. CBT 1 & 2).
This year, there are 13487 vacant seats for the Jr Engineer post. Candidates can refer to the below details of the upcoming examination.
Admit card for the Phase-I examination will be released 10 days prior to the date of examination.
RRB JE CBT 1 @ 2 Exam Details
This time, there will be two CBTs (CBT 1, CBT 2). The pattern of the examination last time was as follows:
The exam pattern details are as follows:
- Duration:Â It will be a 90 minute examination
- Languages – The exam is expected to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
- Questions – There will be 100 multiple choice type questions in the exam. Question will be asked from:
– Mathematics
– General Intelligence and Reasoning
– General Awareness
– General Science
The number of questions asked from each section will be as follows:

Minimum Percentage:Â A candidate needs a minimum percentage in order to qualify for CBT 2. The details regarding the minimum percentage is given below.

RRB JE CBT 2 Details
Candidate 15 times the total number of Community-wise vacancies as per the Merit appear for the second stage of RRB JE CBT. RRB Junior Engieer 2019 CBT 2 details are as follows:
Duration:Â The duration of the examination is 120 minutes.
Languages – The exam is expected to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Konkani, Odiya, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri, and Malayalam.
Questions – In all there will be 150 questions in the examination, from the below given topics:
- General Awareness
- Physics and Chemistry
- Basics of Computers and Applications
- Basics of Environment and Pollution Control
- Technical Abilities

RRB Junior Engineer Exam Date, City, Session
- RRB will hold Junior Engineer 2019 CBT 1 in the month of April – May 2019 (Expected).
The Board will conduct CBT in multiple days and shifts. In the application form, the candidates can only submit multiple choices for the exam city. The exact exam date, city, and session will be allocated through login. The Railway Recruitment Board announce exam city and session via the login. However, the exam address of the exam center is provided informed through the RRB JE CBT1 Admit Card/Hall Ticket.
