The SSC full form is Staff Selection Commission. Every year SSC board conducts Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam. The SSC conducts exam every year to recruit candidates for various government organizations. The SSC CGL exam is conducted in 4 tiers. The SSC organizes a combined All India open examination for selecting candidates to various posts and the minimum qualification for SSC CGL exam is the candidate should complete graduation.

SSC CGL Exam Process

The SSC CGL exam will be conducted in 4 tiers:

• Tier I – Written Examination (computer based test)
• Tier II – Written Examination (computer based test)
• Tier III – Descriptive Test (pen and paper based)
• Tier IV – Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/Computer Proficiency test (CPT)/ Document Verification.

SSC CGL Exam Syllabus of Tier III

• The Tier III exam is a pen and paper based exam.
• This is a descriptive type exam.
• The exam is conducted for 100 marks
• This exam is conducted to assess the writing skills of candidates.
• The exam paper comprise of writing of an essay/passage of 250 words and letter/application writing.
• The qualifying marks for Tier III exam is 33 per cent.

SSC CGL Exam Syllabus for Tier IV

The Tier IV exam would continue to be Data entry skill test or computer proficiency test which is a qualifying nature exam.
